Windows 7 Beta Brings New Functionality to Games Explorer

In Windows Vista, we introduced the Games Explorer . This is the place where you can launch and manage your games, including built-in Windows games such as Solitaire and Chess Titans, and also PC games such as Games for Windows (and Games for Windows – LIVE ) titles. In Windows 7, we are introducing new functionality to Games Explorer that we think people will enjoy.

I’m unable to add computers to WSUS. I can telnet the 8530 port of the WSUS Server This the result of the ClientDiag.exe WSUS Client Diagnostics Tool Checking Machine State Checking for admin rights to run tool .

I, too, am having an IE issue… I use Explorer 7 and have Automatic updates. Since Ms Automatic Updates sent 3 updates (Window malicious Software Removal Tool, Update Rollup for ActiveX, and Cumulative Security Update), I’m not sure what is causing the problem.

Please do NOT advise your users to turn off automatic updates because of *one* problem update

The latest “Rollup for ActiveX Killbits for Windows” ( KB960715 ) is causing problems for some third party applications that are dependent on the disabled controls. One application that has problems, “ Office Tools Professional ”, is advising its users to not only uninstall the Killbit patch (thereby restoring the broken functionality), but also to “turn off automatic updates”.  Please do not turn off automatic updates.  Simply uninstall the problem patch
