Hi, I know that MS09-004 was fixed in SP3 of SQL2005 so why was Windows Update offering me both the SP3 and the MS09-004 update and now that I have installed SP3 MS09-004 is still being offered? I have only seen this on VISTA SP1 64_bit

XP Service Pack 2 Installation hangs…

I’ve recently reformatted my laptop and reinstalled XP Pro. When I go to the Windows Update site and try to download and install XP service pack 2 the download completes, but when it attempts to install the package the “Windows XP Service Pack 2 Setup Wizard” says it’s inspecting the current configuration, and under Details it says “Checking product key” and it hangs.

i got messages that my computer was under attack and to enter the password to run a mysterious file. i did not run the file and blocked its execution. is this a valid windows update file
