Recently, Microsoft released the December security bulletin , and one of the critical rated bulletin ( MS09-071 ) is related to IIS (Integrated Windows Authentication). Meant to blog about this earlier but Nazim from IIS team beat me to it

Yes, according to Add/Remove Programs, the PowerPoint Viewer and the Office Compatibility Packs are installed. Would they trigger all the Office updates, even those not claiming to have anything to do with the viewer and the compatibility pack?
