when microsoft flags an update as ‘critical’ it will force xp and vista (maybe others??) systems to reboot within a couple minutes unless you stop them… i highly recommend setting windows update to download but not install unless you can handle unattended reboots at any time. These talk about registry settings or policies to stop it, but just
