Microsoft’s latest round of security patches appears to be causing some PCs to seize up and display a black screen, rendering the computer useless. The problem affects Microsoft products including Windows 7, Vista and XP operating systems, said Mel Morris , the CEO and CTO for the U.K.

The vulnerability that we addressed with Microsoft Security Bulletin MS09-032 was a result of this issue. While that issue was attacked before a security update was released, that is the only known attack that we’re aware of against an issue related to vulnerabilities in the ATL . ..
