Thank god. Microsoft has announced that R2’s Server Core Edition now comes equipped with a nice-and-tidy textual menu for completing many of the common tasks involved with building a new Server Core instance. Found in R2 only, the SCONFIG tool enables you to complete the following tasks right from a menu: Domain join Rename Computer Configure Remote (Enable management via Server Manager, & PowerShell including properly configuring the firewall.)
