After bringing our server 2k3 r2 sp2 x64 Exchange 2007 sp1 server fully up to date with patches recently – 2 applications on other hosts are no longer able to relay through it to external domains. It is at rollup 9 for exchange which has been installed for some months now plus all critical/security patches for the OS. The applications are on 2 separate hosts both of which have been able to relay up until now via the Exchange server.
Check your Windows Control Panel in “Programs & Freatures”, and uninstall the programs you don’t use. That’s where the Windows Update gets its information about what’s installed.
