Recently, Microsoft released the December security bulletin , and one of the critical rated bulletin ( MS09-071 ) is related to IIS (Integrated Windows Authentication). Meant to blog about this earlier but Nazim from IIS team beat me to it

Each time I shut down, it has 70-80 updates. The Automatic Updates dialog shows these to be consistently the same each time
