MS Fax routing failure

Hi we have the fax service set up on our 2008 server which routes faxes via email on our exchange server. It has started to become unreliable with faxes often failing to be delivered. A quick web search seems to point to a known bug and a knowledge base article no 973640 but when I download the hotfix
