I am having the same problem but on a standard W2K3 server. In my case the updates are KB969947 and KB942831. From reading the log it looks to me that the problem is caused by some files with paths like this, except the folder name indicated by “xxxxx” will actually be something that looks like a 32-digit hexadecimal number:-
