There’s a communication issue with the update servers. Check the WindowsUpdate.log again to see if the latest Version of the Windows Update Agent is installed. It will show in the log as - 2008-10-21 09:05:36:139 980 374 Setup *********** Setup: Checking whether self-update is required ***********
