Windows Update AND Windows Automatic Update are HOSED

Since inistalling SP-3, I cannot install the updates Windows tells me I need. WHAZZAMATTA here? Has Microsoft not got SP-3 ready for users? OR, (more likely) is Microsoft trying to force us XP Pro and Media Editiion users to buy and install Vista? Shame on them.
