Windows Update Error 80244008

I get an error when i try and run the windows update from my Vista PC. When i try and run updates it will give an error: 80244008 Windows couldn;t search for new updates. If i try and configure the setting it is all greyed out. This is wierd because i have all system admin rights on the machine.
