Windows Update fails when Microsoft Update Switched on

Hello everyone, I have just installed Vista Ultimate x86 on a clean harddrive of my old laptop and am migrating my old setup to it. I have hit a couple of Windows-Update related problems. 1) Firstly, when I switch on Microsoft Update, Windows Update fails from then on with error code 8020044D. I have followed a couple of guides
