I keep getting error code 80248009 when I try to update windows, and error 0×80248009 when I try to update windows defender. I got windows vista and using windows explorer 8. My system is a 64 bit

Instead of using windows update, download the patch and install it manually. Worked for me…

I have a lab consisting of 100-150 test mahines and builder machines. I want to update the missing patches as well as i want to schedule it on the tuesday. Note :- We have already SMS deployed in our domain

See: Using Windows Update in Vista [link] Then choose the best method for you, in other words, don’t install updates until you’re prepared to reboot. Simple. Perhaps “Notify only” would be more appropriate.
