In the SBS 2003 R2 patch report sometimes you’ll get a computer that indicates it has patching issues: So you go in and see that a workstation is having issues…. And when you click on it, it says…”What errors?” So what’s going on here is that an event does occur with the patch. But the workstation usually fixes itself up. BUT that error only gets cleared out of the Update screen after 15 days. Sooooooo…

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately that doesn’t answer the question why ALL computers need this patch regardless of the presence of .NET installation. As of today, my WSUS still insists that all machines need KB951847, including those that does not have any version of .NET installed.

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)
We’ve got 8 locations running Small Business Server 2003 and we use WSUS in all of them to manage patches for the server and PC’s in that location. They were all running WSUS 2 and then upgraded to WSUS 3 SP1. So far we’ve been managing each site separately but it’s a pain to have to remote in to each server and approve updates again and

As Shenan said, they’ve already downloaded. What particular updates are not installing
As Shenan said, they’ve already downloaded. What particular updates are not installing? Could you please check the windows update log for more clues as to why the updates have not installed especially error codes etc which may assist.
