Where’d 18 Gigs go with SP2 Update?

Hello I installed Service pack 2 on my Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit notebook on 8-15. If I had read some of the posts here like “Windows Update mess” dated 8-15, and “Vista Service pack is junk” also dated 8-15, I would not have installed it
