Which runs faster AVG or MacAfee?

Hi When we updated MacAfee antivirus from Enterprise v8 to v8.5 (about a year ago) our msWindows Server 2003 suddenly started running MUCH slower. The trouble is that when we did the reboot there were various other patches etc that got installed at the same time
