Windows Update Client failed to detect with error 0×8024000e.

Hello, I’m running Windows Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1. I’m getting the Windows Update Client failed to detect with error 0×8024000e in my Windowsupdate.log, this means that checking for updates fails, with this error code. I googled a lot but could not find a good solution for this error: I also tried a few things, but they didn’t work out.I tried this.
