Windows Update Service is not working

Hi All, I am using windows SBS Server 2008 SP2 & just recently installed WSUS 3.0 SP2 on it. But since then its not working, Port 8530 is already open on this server through hardware router. But when I go to windows update in control panel I get following error message “An error occured while checking for new updates for your computer
